A Thoughtful Labor of Love

This morning I went to church, then out to lunch with my parents.  Remembering how adamantly Chloe refused to get in the snow this morning, I picked up a snow shovel before heading home.  As I turned onto my street and rounded the corner, I saw that my driveway had already been shoveled!  My driveway, the front walk, and a little patch of grass just for Chloe had all been cleared off.  I knew right away who the culprit was.  My brother-in-law, Matt, took his son and shoveled several driveways in their neighborhood.  He wanted to teach Jacob that you do things for others just because, without expecting anything in return.  Kudos to you Matt for raising a compassionate, giving person.  Not only are you teaching him, you are also living it before him.  Thank you for blessing me today!  Thanks to you, this is where I'll be spending the afternoon with some hot chocolate and a good book:
